The client wanted a residence to be modern at the same time echo the ethos of a traditional Tamil house with a thinnai, and courtyard. The site was abundant with lush trees with romantic foliage. Thus the spaces were planned around axes which wrapped around the trees such that the spaces all had view of the same. The kitchen and dining spaces were further opened up completely making cooking and eating one with nature.
