The firm’s own office is situated next to the Bay of Bengal. An old residence was stripped bare and multiple windows were added to catch the sea breeze and natural light. An additional square mass was added to the existing C shaped structure creating a courtyard which was filled with water and koi fishes. A stone bridge accesses the Chief Architect’s office. The material palette has been kept tropical with teak wood joinery and flooring, stone and slate with white plastered walls and MS insulated roof to cut direct heat gain in the terrace pantry.
