The Parry Tissue Culture Centre, Hoskote, designed by Nataraj & Venkat Architects, is an institutional research facility for E.I.D. Parry (India) Limited, supporting the company’s work in plant biotechnology and tissue-culture-based propagation. The building adopts a formal, restrained architectural language, with a symmetrical composition, light-coloured plastered walls, a prominent pitched terracotta-tiled roof, and carefully proportioned window openings framed by classical pilasters, cornices and recessed panels. The detailing gives the centre a dignified corporate character while the pitched roof and warm material palette establish a contextual connection with Bangalore’s architectural tradition. The façade is deliberately composed and balanced, creating a strong institutional identity without relying on excessive ornamentation. Functionally, the architecture was conceived around the specialised requirements of a research and tissue-culture facility, where controlled laboratory environments and supporting spaces form the core of the programme
